Alfresco Dining By The SeaA Chocolate Flower Farm Inspired Feast |
|
I've been spending summers, long weekends and holidays on Whidbey Island for the past 29 years. And I love the island, especially in the summertime. I decided to host an alfresco dinner for Marie Lincoln and Bill Schlicht, owners of the Chocolate Flower Farm, to celebrate a flourishing season on the farm and a successful season at the Garden Shed, their retail store in Langley. THE FARM THE LOOK THE WINE THE TABLE ALFRESCO SUPPER MENU SOUTH SOUND BRUSCHETTA DIRECTIONS: Cut the baguette into ¾-inch slices and lightly toast. Spread each slice with fig jam and sprinkle with the blue cheese crumbles. Top off with toasted walnuts and a drizzle of chocolate honey. Place in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!

Jordan, you create word pictures that truely invite the reader to experience the people and place's in LIFE that make a difference. You are "one of a kind" and this City and magazine are FORTUNATE to have you're pen, the smile, and the FUN !

Just recently purchased my first order online from the Chocolate Flower Farm. The packaging and product they sent were well worth the small expense. I'm looking forward to doing more business with them in the future. Jordan, it sounds like you did an awesome job with the alfresco dinner for Marie Lincoln and Bill Schlicht. Congratulations!

The Braeburn is a must stop in Langley. I was going to make a few trips this summer even before I saw this, but I am now that much more excited to go. Loved your article!

I have never been up that way before and now I have and excuse to check it out. The Chocolate Flower Farm sounds like a wonderful place to visit. That chocolate mint lemonade also sounds yummy. Thanks Jordan!

Whidbey Isalnd is my favorite summer weekend spot! A short drive and relaxing walks, views and shops to stroll. Tons of bed and breakfasts too.

Robert, the gorgeous silverware is from the Chef's Pantry located in Langley on Whidbey Island. Their website is www.chefspantryonline.com and the phone number is 360 221-2060.The silverware we had was the Toas Twist flatware.
